Happy Samhain .

I know it's been awhile since my last blog and that is a very bad thing. I have been wrestling with Nightwolves Dawn to Dusk, but I think I have all the kinks worked out now. Within the next week or two I am hoping to have it done and in editing before people come to hang me for taking so long LOL.
At the moment Catrina is having a very bad day. I have gone thru many boxes of Kleenex writing about this part of her life. Her past is just hellish in many aspects. Meanwhile, in the present, her mates are going nuts missing her and trying to find a spell to bring her back from being turned into a zombie. To add to the drama The Gods and Goddesses are playing Their owns war games and guess who is caught in the middle being used as a pawn? Yep, you guessed it. Poor Cat, I need more Kleenexes damn it.
And things are about to get even worse for the Catrina in the past. I gave up wearing mascara while writing this book. I got tired of looking like a raccoon. Maybe that's why it has taken me so long to write this one. That and the technical writing style used in this book is a very difficult technique. Keeping things in line and the continuity going on both ends is a test of my use of aspirins, let me tell ya...but I, like my readers, need to know how it all came about. Talk about walking through the fires of hell...wow...
Stay tuned for more updates as Nightwolves Dawn to Dusk develops!

Today's blog

Playing catch up everywhere today that I can before I sink back into the Nightwolves world of Nightwolves Dawn to Dusk- The Semi Prequel and Nightwolves Battle for Kla' din. I have added excerpts for both of these at my fan website for my readers who may enjoy getting a taste of what's to come. Please join as a member and check out the awesome t-shirts on the cafepress shop at
http://clarrissaleemoonauthor.webs.com/
I hope my readers here have enjoyed the new video trailers..arent they awesome?!

SO, some may be asking what is Catrina up to today?
Well depends on what time frame you're talking about. In the present, she is still a zombie physically, but a surprise has showed up on Kla' din freaking everyone out. In the past, she is about to start her classes at the university and is not a happy camper after receiving a gift from her Mother Goddess. She is about to have more things thrown on her, some good- some bad, depending on your outlook . She aint going to like it though. She only wants one thing and one thing only. The world could be handed to her on a silver platter; but if it doesn't have the one thing she does want, she could give a flying....yeah - you got it. and so the saga continues...stay tuned to the same Cat channel LMAO

My most awesome reviews!

Nothing touches an author more than seeing hours, weeks, months of work being validated by the reviews that their work receives. I was just looking over my reviews at Paranormal Romance Guild a bit teary eyed because this one reviewer got it! Where some might complain about the preachiness of the main character and her habit of getting on a soapbox about it-every now and again, believe me I have tried to get her to tone down...she refuses- but the reviewer got it and made me see my main character more fully myself! She IS a demi-Goddess and has knowledge and the ability to put together pieces of information in a way most normal humans can not. The Main character understands that if something isn't done it could spell the down fall, creating a vacuum of power and another main stream religion could step in, which would most likely put women's rights back into the dark ages. This would NOT be a good thing, in our world or hers.
But the reviewer got it.. She understood the main characters drive. A lot of my reviewers saw beyond the surface of the story and got what was really going on below the surface and it just made all that work worth it for me. Yes, this series does cross a lot of genres and yes, this series talks a lot about complicated religious theology BUT there is also excitement, adventure, and a chance to get to know the characters on a personal level. The Nightwolves breaks a lot of walls in mainstream writing ethics. It crosses a lot of barriers that might make some people uncomfortable but some seem to have the intelligence, the wisdom and the foresight to see how this can make a series even more exciting, thrilling and chilling.
Now that The Nightwolves has been published in a house, the editing and formatting is so fancy it also makes me want to cry in happiness. The covers are a piece of art- being both retro and modern, Goth and urban- at the same time and a lot of people have seen what we wanted to show in just the covers of The Nightwolves. The statement that this series is not your normal cup of java, there is a jolt of something extra special waiting for a reader inside.
To have these awesome reviews is such a sweet balm to my soul, that I am inspired to break even more boundaries in my upcoming books and hope that these too will be seen by reviewers for what they are. Something out of the ordinary!
Thanks for all who read and review, my utmost respect and gratitude for your insights and words of praise for The Nightwolves!

Updates for both series!!!

Nightwolves on the Prowl has just been awarded a 4 star review at Paranormal Romance Guild!!! Nightwolves Coalition has gotten 4 stars as well. Nightwolves Coalition is scheduled to eb released May 1st!! Goodreads.com has a 2 book giveaway contest going on right now at http://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/show/9621?utm_medium=api&utm_source=giveaway_widget sign up for a chance to win your copy!!! My new fan site http://clarrissaleemoonauthor.webs.com/ has been updated with the new covers, excerpts for volumes 1 thru 4 and review news on Celeste and Nightwolves. Go see all the updates on many pages of my fan site! I know this blog is for Nightwolves fans and such, but blogging separately for Celeste Nites is just a bit much on my plate right now, so here is some news on this front as well. Celeste Nites has been released and has done very well in its first week with World Castle Publications! It is in both ebook and paperbacks and can be had by all my fans looking for something a little different, a little kinky and a LOT HAWT! It has also garnered a 4 and 3/4 star review at Paranormal Roamnce Guild...have a look:-) Nightwolves Dawn to Dusk- The Semi Prequel is coming along just fine and Nightwolves Battle for Kla' din is just about finished. Because Dawn to Dusk is a half prequel, Battle for Kla' din had to be written first to keep its continuity flowing the right way. Saved me time too. Once you read the whole series you'll understand why it came out the way it did. I don't ride my muse, she rides me. Book Trailers and mini series will be coming soon. They should be very interesting. Have a great paranormal week...WEG Clarrissa Lee Moon

Good Luck Nightwolves Siren's Song and more.

well, Nightwolves Siren's Song has not only been published on Amazon.com in ebook and paperback which should be showing up on their web pages by Friday but the book has been entered into the Amazon BreakThough Award Contest!!! We're really excited here at Casa Luna. Now what you may ask? Nightwolves Dawn to Dusk is in the works to keep my mind off just how I broke many many rules on Nightwolves Siren's Song taking HUGE risks especially with the ending of the book but it had to be as it was written LOL Nightwolves Coalition and Nightwolves on the Prowl each have their own flavor, each has been written slightly differently in style and format, such is true with Nighwolves Siren's Song. Most pick up a series and the style and formula is the same in each consecutive book, not so with Memoirs of the Nightwolves Series. No two books will have the exact same style or flavor. Each book is coming on with its own voice and style which in the world of writing can be a suicidal move, I know, but this series I have to stay true to my heart and soul while I write it and it is demanding to be different. Though they are not stand alone books, each wants its own spot light and personality. It may cost me the contest, it may cost me a nice fat contract with some big publishing house, but I will go to sleep during the day knowing I stayed true to my craft. I stayed true to my art and my muse and didn't bow down to mainstream conformity. Nightwolves isn't about being conformitive or staid...it is wild...it is free...it is surprising and shocking...sad and loving...showing honor and brotherhood...outdated ideals in this day and age, even if it were true in the past...maybe honor in relationships and brotherhood has been nothing more than fantasy all along, but I would rather live in my fantasy world then live in a world that settles for less on a daily basis. So to hell with conformity, to hell with mainstream dogma...Live on Nightwolves and take me to the next level in Nightwolves Dawn to Dusk- Semi Prequel and shock and amaze me in Nightwolves Battle for Kla' din.
Viva La Nightwolves!!!
